BBS is providing the Building Control on a commercial to residential conversion project in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. The project involves a roof extension to the existing six-storey office block, together with a change of use to residential. The scheme will provide 69 flats, of which 55 will be studio units. We are working with AA Homes and Housing and Suburban Studios on this project.

BBS is working with D Bennett and Sons Ltd and John Hill Associates Ltd to provide Building Control on a new build block of flats in Horsham which are being developed by Tillingbourne Estates Ltd. The works at 7 Station Close, Horsham, will comprise of 4 storey building to provide 11 no 1 and 2 bedroomed apartments. The property will be traditional brick and block construction with brick façade, PPC aluminium doors and windows, obscure glazing and steel handrails with zinc roof. The works will include new drainage, carports and external landscaping. Works began on site early August 2015 and programmed for a period of 61 weeks with an anticipated completion date of early September 2016.

Maple Tree Homes is developing an old pub into 5 apartments and building 5 small townhouses on the car park and rear garden area. The pub has been unused for the past 18 months and is being completely stripped back to the shell and refitted for residential use.
The old part of the building dates back to 1600 and has some interesting features - it is an exciting project that will look great once it is complete.

BBS have recently been appointed Building Control on a new build project in Fulham. We will be working with the Cherwell Group on the project that will see the construction of 30 new residential apartments - of these 22 will be private apartments and 8 will be shared ownership apartments.

Planning permission was granted by the London Borough of Bexley for the development of the brownfield site located at 230-232 Broadway, Bexleyheath. The Permission granted was for a 2/Part 3 & 4 storey building, providing a ground floor retail unit & 5 x 1 bedroom self-contained flats. BBS carried out Building Control on the project that is now standing and fully occupied.
