Client: The Rathfinny Estate
Architect: Designcubed
Project Manager: Buro Four Project Services Limited
Main Contractor: Sunninghill Construction Limited

Situated on the west side of the beautiful Cuckmere Valley, between Brighton and Eastbourne, lies the picturesque Rathfinney Estate, England’s largest vineyard.

The first vines were planted in March 2012 and phase 1 of construction, the Winery, is now complete. Beauty and sustainability are at the heart of this ambitious project. Groundwater is sourced from the Estate’s own bore hole and photo-voltaic panels ensure the entire enterprise is energy self-sufficient. The Winery’s grass covered curved roof mirrors the contours of the surrounding landscape.

BBS Building Control is proud to have been involved in such an interesting and unique project.
