The Renaissance development is playing a major role in the Lewisham urban regeneration project. The 1.7 hectare site will provide a total of 788 dwellings, comprising private and affordable town houses and apartments. Phase 1 - 184 apartments, public plaza and energy centre - has been implimented. Phase 2, providing a further 407 apartments and commercial space is partially complete. Phase 3 has begun and includes 11 town houses and 5 maisonettes which achieve Code Level 6. BSS Environmental is carrying out the CSH assessments on the entire scheme.

A very interesting project that took three years to be granted planning permission. This was due to a complex 'right to light' issue, which was resolved by the architects' clever use of material and form. The mixed-use development, comprising six flats with commercial units on the ground floor, is a co-operative scheme owned by a group of nearby residents.
